Technology in printing industry is being used so widely that we need to be more precise. In this field I’m working in two areas:
a) industrial product design while keeping focus on technological aspects of production. It means that creative people do not have to be distracted witch technicalities because I’ll be transforming their vision into production realities,
b) concept design and execution of R&D studies in part that involves printing. It’s results and effects as issued patents can be used during applications for EU funds.

Road between product concept and it’s execution is difficult enough that many ideas remain only on paper. Print houses often are using technical vocabulary, but people from creative departments or product & brand managers sees in their minds final effect and emotions that are being evoked.
My goal is to connect those two worlds and translate creative ideas into technical language. Although my first part it getting familiar with clients expectations and if any production problems might occur offer alternative solutions. My support is not limited to choosing of right substrates, technologies and subcontractors but also cooperating with them and overseeing processes.

My experience in printing industry I got while working with low volume artistic publishings and high quality printing on demand. All fun was in variety and creations that were completely different every single day. There was no place for getting bored. Because I often made products that were targeted for competition and executed in single unites – it was necessity of creating new production solutions and carefully adjusting existing ones.

R&D studies
I spent over two years in R&D department of HP Indigo in Israel where I was working on high quality imaging in digital printing. I’m an author of 3 patent applications (all fully approved and patent pending). With my help companies from printing industry received multimillion EU grants. I was in charge both on writing technology in project and final implementation into production.
